Johannes is a counsel at Interlaw’s Belgian partner firm Janson and is Interlaw’s next generation representative on the Board of Directors.
Johannes specializes in intellectual property law, ICT law, market practices and media law and advises and assists clients in all aspects of IP protection and enforcement (litigation, contracts, protection strategies).
He has valuable experience in drafting and negotiating complex IT agreements, and advising on all aspects of data protection (GDPR compliance) and market practices.
Johannes main industry focuses are software, fintech, medtech and the creative sector.
His recent experience includes advising a major group of Belgian Hospitals in its negotiations and contracting with a multinational IT company, negotiating highly regulated critical IT and technology contracts for various clients in the banking and finance sector, advising a multinational fintech company on its marketing and advertising rule book and advising and representing various companies and organizations in trademark conflicts arising from major (re)brandings.
Johannes often speaks at conferences and seminars on subjects such as AI, data protection and trademark rights.
